We all run out of new content ideas for our audience, and sometimes the solution is just to steal some new one.

Stealing is not a good thing, but if you really look at it, we were born with nothing. Our brains had no knowledge of anything apart from the one innate drive to suckle on our mother’s milk.

Everything we know, we learned from listening to other people. Reading and watching the creative works of other people. That’s how we got most of our knowledge.

That’s not to say we don’t come up with original ideas anymore. We still do. Most of our current knowledge however, especially now in this age, are not ours. We either borrow or outrightly steal them.

And I see nothing wrong with stealing knowledge and ideas. As long as you’re not passing it off as your own.

It’s okay to steal knowledge. It’s okay to steal ideas. There are ways to do it ethically so you don’t cause any type of storm.

And that’s exactly what I want to share with you in this article.

But first, you need to learn ways you can still content ideas online, so you don’t run out of content for your business.

Content is very important for any online business. And because we’re not an endless fountain of content, every now and then we need new ideas to share with our audience. And one of the easiest ways to get this new content ideas is to steal them ethically from other creators.

So, how do we go about this?

Here’s how.

Follow other bloggers, writers and creators on social media – Give your take on what they say

One thing I’ve been doing recently on my X profile is to quote something I’ve head another creator say. I write it in quotes and include their names to make people know who said that.

Then I give my own take about what that creator said.

I always do this whenever I come across something a creator I follow on social media said, and I like or dislike it, and I want to tell people what I think about that.

content ideas from on social media

That’s a consistent stream of content ideas for me, because creators are always creating and saying stuff. And you can just quote them, and tell people about what you think about what they said.

There are so many ways to convert the content of other creators into content for your own audience.

You just have to follow creators you like on social media, read and listen to what they say, comment in their posts, and if you want to go in-depth on it, you can even turn it into your own post on social media, you can make a whole article or a whole video out of it.

You just have to make sure people know the source of that content, and make the right attributions to the right sources.

Use Quora to find questions your prospects are asking

Quora is one of my best sources for stealing content ideas. Like, Quora is packed with content ideas.

It’s a question and answer website. You go on it, register an account, choose your interests and you’ll find hundreds and thousands of questions people are asking in your niche.

You can answer the questions right there on the platform and you can build a following on the platform.

From there, you’ll get an idea of what people in your niche are looking for. You’ll be able to get to know your audience, their pain points, what they’re looking for, and you can use these ideas to shape the kind of content you offer to your audience.

Quora is a very big source of content ideas for me, and I use it all the time.

Apart from it being a source of content ideas, it’s also a huge source of traffic. When you answer questions on Quora, you can include link to your own content.

And the more people find your answers, they can click through to your own blog, signing up to your newsletter or even buying a product on your website.

Rewrite blog posts from other creators you find interesting

If I read an article on a blog that I find interesting, and I think would benefit my audience, I rewrite it, put in my own thoughts and share it with my audience.

I also make sure I link to the original article, so my audience gets more additional resource to learn more about what I’m talking about.

There are so many benefits to doing this.

One, you get a fresh new content idea for your audience. Two, when you link to the original resource, there’s a good chance they’ll know about that link and they’ll visit your article as well.

And if they find it useful, they might link back to you. So, it’s a win-win situation for you. Fresh new content, and possibility of a collaboration with another creator you like.
