Start building now, figure it out later.
That’s my approach to business. I don’t have to see the whole picture from the start. All I need is the framework. Then I’m good.
The more I build, the more convinced I am about what I am building.
That’s how I’ve been feeling lately as I build my one person business. The more I build all the components that make it work, the more I see it take shape and the more convinced I am of what I’m doing.
No matter how good the idea you have in your head or on paper, if you’ve never started building it, and seeing it take form, you’ll never feel maximum conviction about it.
It’s after you’ve started building the idea in reality, putting words to action, once you start seeing things taking shape, then you gain maximum conviction.
It’s like building a house.
Even though you have the money, and you have the thought to build a house, it’s nothing until you actually go ahead to buy the land, buy materials, pay an architect to design the house, pay engineers, start the foundation and see the house grow from the ground.
It’s the moment the foundation is dug and built, the first pillars erected, the first bricks laid, and the form of the house takes shape, that you finally see what you’re doing, and you have that feeling that you’re actually building your house.
That feeling of I own a home or a house only comes when these things take place. Trust me, I’ve felt it, because I own a house myself.
The lesson here is that, when you have ideas, don’t just keep them in your head, else they’ll die off. They’ll just be ordinary ideas in your head and nothing more.
If you want to really create something with those ideas you have, you have to start building on them.
Bring them out of your head into the open. Start creating, start building, start laying the foundation and start putting your ideas to work and see them take shape.
It doesn’t matter whether you have all the details yet. You can never know all the steps it will take to carry out the idea in your head.
You won’t know all the steps from A-Z when it’s just an idea in your head. And that’s what freaks most people out. That’s what prevents most people from getting started. They want to know all the steps from A-Z to make sure they know what they’re doing.
Sometimes you don’t have to know everything before you start. If you’re really excited about this idea, get started even though you know just step A. Before you finish step A, you’ll know step B. Trust me.
So, get started with your idea.
Most people say they want to become writers yet they don’t write anything. Some say they want to become content creators, yet they don’t create shxt. You want to become fit, yet no one sees you in the gym.
You have to put your ideas to work, else they won’t come to life.
I’ve always thought about monetizing my knowledge, monetizing my skills and building a one person brand around me for a very long time, yet I never really put words to action, until now.
Now that I’m doing it, I’m so pumped and filled with the drive to go on, as I see my ideas take shape.
The more I put in the work, the more I build on this idea, the more I see it take shape, the more convinced I am of what I’m doing.
If you want to do anything with your life, if you have any idea in your head and you truly believe in it, don’t just keep it in your head.
Come on, start building on it now. Wherever your journey is at the present, it’s never too late, and it’s never too early to start.
Start now, because 6 months from now, you’d wish you started today, a year from now, you’d wish you started today.
Don’t wait no more.
Start now.
