You package it into a guide, a video tutorial, a mini course or something like that, then you give it to them in exchange for their email address.
Every business you’ve encountered online does it. You’re just the one who haven’t noticed. It’s the oldest marketing trick in the book.
The email address is request in exchange for the freebie you give them is important, because it will allow you to reach them again, with more info about what you sent to them.
It will help you educate them more about what you sent to them, and build a connection with them.
After that, you can offer them a pro version of that guide, which is a an upgraded level of that guide you gave them at first.
Like I said every business does this.
Go to any website right now that sells any type of service, software or program. They offer you a free version, and you enter in your email.
Then they keep telling you about the pro version until you buy. And sometimes you buy the pro version yourself after using the free version because you see how good the free version is, you just can’t wait to test the pro version.
That’s the same way you monetize content.
If you’re teaching people how to become good graphic designers. You give them a free graphic design lessons in exchange for their email.
Then later, you inform them about a paid version of that lesson in the form of a course that will take them to the next level in their journey. That’s just it.
That is the formular for monetizing content. If you’ve ever bought anything online, 99.99 percent chance is that you went through this sales process.
You got a free trial, then you got the paid version later when you realized the free trial was worth it, and you feel the paid one will give you even more of what you want.
That’s how marketing works.
